Another summer of fun-filled training has concluded at HMCS ACADIA, and did it ever end on a bang! After the graduation parade, which was reviewed by Captain (Navy) Newton, the cadets of HMCS ACADIA performed its final Ceremony of the Flags of the summer. The cadet, officers and spectators were treated to a magnificent fireworks display that lit up the sky. The fireworks not only celebrated a successful summer, but the 100th anniversary of the Cadet Instructors Cadre. 2009 is unquestionably a summer to remember!
Sea, army, and air cadets who attend HMCS ACADIA this summer were not disappointed! Whether it was the gunners going for a bush excursion, the sailors riding the wind and waves, the musicians playing up a storm, or the boatswains living it up on the seas, excitement abounded. And of course, we can’t forget our general training sea and army cadets who got a little taste of everything. With all thatHMCS ACADIA has to offer, choosing what trade to take will be no easy decision!
