The Regional Cadet Support Unit (Atlantic) - Detachment Gagetown is responsible for the administration and efficient operation of each Sea, Army, and Air cadet unit in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. To accomplish this task, the detachment commander utilizes three Area Cadet Officers, one per element, and a number of non-commissioned members who specialize in finance, transportation or administration. Each Area Cadet Officer is responsible for his particular element of cadet corps/squadrons in the two provinces. He is normally assisted by Warrant Officer who works hand in hand with him to provide the best possible support to their elemental units.
